Lack of clean clothes & a very inexpensive laundry facility compelled us to leave the campground. We compiled a list of errands & drove into Chattahoochee FL. Totally fun! First stop, post office! The lovely, helpful clerk advised us to head farther west to Sneads for our grocery items. Last stop, post office. Actually, we tried to get quarters at the Sun Trust but they had closed down! Off we went across the dam (that you have seen way too many pictures of) to the Piggly Wiggly in Sneads!
Anyone remember going with Granddaddy Bender to the Piggly Wiggly? Believe it started in NC! Anyway, our expectations were exceeded in the produce aisle & they let us have a roll of quarters!
Guess what we had for lunch? A frozen pizza! Yahoo, we found one that would fit in our tiny oven & it was yummy! However, finding one that will fit in our tiny freezer will be a bigger challenge!
The laundry room at the army corps is the best in that it is $1 to wash & $1 to dry. The biggest bonus is the dryer was hot & ran 40 mins.
The weather is moving in the right direction. The forecast for tomorrow is 70! That is a record high for our camping experience! I can hardly wait to enjoy my lakefront property without a coat!
Another happy note, we only used .7 GB yesterday & the iPod is working great for music.
Speaking of music, we are sad about losing Glenn Fry. The Eagles’ creativity added a lot of enjoyment to our lives over the years. He was Edward’s age & that is disconcerting. Life is fragile & we all need to remember to enjoy today.
