We had a great day around the campground day. Everyone was out walking in the glorious sunshine, shedding hats & gloves & finally jackets. Really fun to ditch the winter gear. We have met lots of fellow travelers & believe it or not, we stop to talk with anyone that wants to. We are learning about good campgrounds & hearing what sends & keeps people on the road.
We want to report that the oven was worth the trouble & wait. We use it frequently & made deliciouso muffins this morning. Totally fun! Cooks a crisp pizza, bakes tofu & potatoes with ease. We have not tested it out on cookies, but I hope that is next.
We had time to play music today & I started a drawing of the airstream. The jury is still out on whether it will be worthy of your viewing. But I am not being critical of my attempts & that is progress!
Oh, we tested the solar today. Not much of a test, but it was fun to plug a few things into the invertor outlets & watch the battery indicator fluctuate. (I am very easily amused) Edward didn’t want to waste the propane on the water heater & fridge, so the experiment was short lived.
Spanish is getting difficult & we find ourselves using Google translate to understand what is being said. It really helps my visual brain. Hard to tell where one word stops & the next begins. How anyone learns English is beyond me. A person new to English would never believe the Georgian refrigerator repair guy we met was speaking English. Wonder if our accents will pass?
