The sound of rain pattering on the roof woke us & we wondered what the heck. The day was gray & the forecast matched the sky. Overnight we lost the forecast of 70* sunshine. Hardly fair. Drinking our coffee, looking out at the ducks enjoying the rain, I was inspired with a different way to spend our day! Stocking up on provisions for our week in Port St Joe seemed like a great way to spend a rainy day. Edward rather cheerfully agreed, so off we went. We started the day at Costco (a very small purchase) , then went to Petco in search of the World’s Best Cat Litter. When sharing 240 sq ft with a litter box, good littler is right up there with coffee in importance!
By then we were starving & tired of shopping. Panera revived us enough to tackle the grocery list at a very lovely Publix. Our last stop was CVS. It nearly did me in. I have clearly lost my shopping stamina! Edward & I were so happy to be home, we did not mind the gloomy weather. You can see how exhausting shopping was for Edward! He collapsed as soon as the groceries were stowed!
Tomorrow is a travel day. We really like those days in the truck. Six or seven days in a place seems to be as much as we can handle. Will we be hitching up in the rain? Probably so!
