Wonders of wonders! No wind, 65 degrees & lots of sun combine for a perfect weather day. No jacket needed. Yahoo!
The northern tip of the peninsula is eight miles of wilderness preserve. Great trail through soft sugar sand, not quite as white as sugar but darn close. It was so soft I chose to hike barefoot! There are 7 wonderful primitive campsites for those hardy enough to pack it all in & out again. Really wild & eerily quiet. We only heard one bird in two hours! Our goal was the 2-mile marker & we made it. That put our mileage for the day over seven & for our Fitbit friends that is 16,625 steps! Too many steps for me; wore me slap out! We are wondering if we’ll feel it tomorrow?
Oh, we met the Australian couple. They are on a three year trip around the world!!! Sent the beast of an RV to LA in a container! They have been touring US since May of 2015 & are headed to Argentina through Central America & then on to South Africa. Now that is an adventure.
Enjoy each day & love one another. We surely miss you.
